Manchester United has officially announced the signing of Dutch manager Erik ten Hag from Ajax. We had a gut feeling that the club will seal the deal in the coming days and it has been announced.
Erik Ten Hag has put pen to paper on a three-year deal. He has signed a contract running until 2025 and with an option to upgrade it further till 2026.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has also revealed that all details of the contract have been agreed upon by both the clubs. Also, the club is pushing to make Mitchell van der Gaag a part of Ten Hag’s backroom staff. He will be acting as his new assistant.
Manchester United is also planning to appoint a club legend to assist the new manager. The club has agreed to a compensation package worth £2.5m for both, Ten Hag and Van der Gaag. Ralf Rangnick will be moving upstairs as the club’s consultant for the next two years.
The club acted swiftly to close the deal as two other German clubs had also approached the Dutch manager.

Erik Ten Hag is pleased to sign for Manchester United as he said:

This is a very exciting deal that is being signed off by the club’s directors. The fans will certainly be ecstatic to see him change the club’s fortunes.
He may also get a huge £200m chests to be used for signing new players this summer. For sure, the manager will have to deal with a lot of outgoing players. Also, he will not be on the pitch to guide Manchester United for the game against Arsenal and Chelsea.
