According to the latest reports, Premier League giants Manchester United have been handed a major boost in the pursuit of signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho in the upcoming January transfer window.
The red Devils have endured their worst ever start to the Premier League this season and are sitting in 7th place on the table at the moment with 16 points from 12 games so far. But worryingly for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United are not playing the best of football for their fans and the transfer board has come under heavy criticism.
Following the sale of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku in the summer transfer market to Serie A outfit Inter Milan, United have been running short on options for strikers. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are still young but the only senior and recognized forwards at the club.
On some occasions, Solskjaer has been forced to field young teenager Mason Greenwood and despite the 17-year-old showing potential, he is too young to be depended upon. Solskjaer has admitted that he would be looking to purchase an attacking player in the next transfer window in January and his prime target is Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Jadon Sancho.
The 19-year-old has been sensational for the German club but has been frustrated off late due to the treatment that he has been receiving. Sancho was taken off the pitch during the hammering against arch rivals Bayern Munich last week and now wants a move away from the Westfalenstadion.
The English star is now keen on returning to his native and Manchester United have a great chance of signing Sancho in the January transfer window. Sancho could be a great addition for Manchester United and Solskjaer could use this situation to bring back Sancho to the Premier League.
