Manchester United have been given ultimatum for Sancho

Manchester United FC have been linked to Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho for the past couple of transfer windows. But as the summer transfer window comes closer at the end of the season, the Sancho deal, finally, looks to take shape. It was reported earlier this week that Dortmund want £108m for Sancho and want clarity about the transfer by 10th of August.

There have been so many stories linked to Manchester United and Jadon Sancho and it looks to keep on adding. Dortmund don’t want to let go of Sancho this season and want him to stay for one more season at least. Thus, they have demanded a transfer fee of about £108m, which is very steep looking at the pandemic situation.

The summer transfer window will reportedly be open from the 1st of August and Dortmund have given an ultimatum to United. The German club wants clarity about Sancho’s situation and has given the Red Devils time till 10th of August. With this statement from Germany, the Red Devils are even under more pressure to complete the transfer for Jadon Sancho.

Last week it was reported that Sancho’s agent was in talks with United and Sancho has agreed on personal terms. According to reports, the talismanic Englishman has agreed for a £140,000 per week wage with United, which might increase to £200,000. But there have been no talks between the Red Devils and Dortmund regarding a transfer for Sancho this summer.

Borussia Dortmund haven’t yet received an official bid for Sancho and thus want clarity about United’s intentions as soon as possible. Any transfer fee of over £100m will be difficult to get in this post-pandemic situation because of the huge loses. United are trying to lower the transfer fee for Sancho and to have a sustainable future.

But, with Champions League football almost in sight, United will have the upper hand in the Sancho transfer. Reportedly Sancho wants to join the Red Devils and is excited by the prospect of playing with Bruno, Pogba and Rashford. United have been slow in their recent transfers but only time will tell if the officials get this deal done in time.
