Manchester United Facing Injury Crisis Ahead Of Leicester Game

Manchester United are facing an injury crisis ahead of their game against Leicester City with as many as seven first-team players doubtful for the clash.

Paul Pogba is set to miss the game with the ankle injury that forced him to withdraw from international duty with France, while Anthony Martial (thigh), Luke Shaw (thigh) and Diogo Dalot (hip) are also out.

Eric Bailly is already sidelined after knee surgery, and Jesse Lingard (illness) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (back) are doubtful.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke about the injury crisis ahead of the game at Old Trafford this weekend.

‘The treatment room has been busy and still is so we don’t really know who’s going to be available,’ said manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

‘There’s maybe Aaron, maybe Jesse and I think maybe that’s it from the ones that pulled out, but I can’t promise those two will be available either.

‘Pogba won’t be fit, no, unless he’s had a miraculous recovery overnight from yesterday to today or tonight to tomorrow, he’s not been ready to do 100 percent training, no.

‘We hope more can be ready for West Ham next week and Paul and Anthony are in that category. I think they’ll be ready for then and can’t say more than that really.

‘You’ve got players who can come in (against Leicester) with loads of experience – Juan, Nemanja, and Ash who didn’t start the first game and have got to step up. The average age might go up.

Manchester United have only won one game this season while Leicester along with Liverpool and Man City are the only unbeaten teams in the league.
