Manchester United plans to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic this summer

As reported by the Sun, Manchester United reportedly plans to compete with Arsenal in the race to sign Juventus star striker Dusan Vlahovic if they are unable to sign Harry Kane this summer.

Erik ten Hag has identified the Tottenham star as his top summer transfer target. The 29-year-old England star has less than 18 months left on his contract and United is looking to capitalise on the contract situation.

Yet, it has been stated that the fans continue to expect a “strong” race for Kane. Daniel Levy is expected to be a tough negotiator in this deal and it would not be easy to strike a deal.

This has forced United to concentrate on alternative options, including Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Juventus attacker Vlahovic.

United will not risk another signing that “drags out until the final hours of the transfer window”. Vlahovic left Fiorentina for Juventus in January, passing up the opportunity to join Arsenal in the Premier League.

The Serbian international turned down the opportunity to play for the Gunners in favour of Turin, but Mikel Arteta’s team was still desperate to sign him.

Juve’s early Champions League exit has put them in need of raising money. The 23-year-old has scored ten goals this season but has now gone six games without scoring this time.

United have the perfect chance to strike a deal and they could force the Italian giants to sell their prized asset.
