According to a report in Corriere di Bergamo, Manchester United are reportedly prepared to work harder to secure the signing of Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund during the upcoming summer transfer window.
With the Red Devils in search of a new forward, Hojlund has emerged as a prominent target for the club, and speculation surrounding a potential move has been circulating for the past few months.
United have reportedly made an increased offer of €46 million for the young striker, following their initial bid of €35 million, which was turned down.
The Italian publication suggests that despite this improved proposal being expected to be rejected as well, United remains determined to secure the young Danish striker’s signature.

Atalanta currently values Hojlund at €60 million, and the difference between the offer and valuation is now described as “very narrow,” amounting to just €14 million.
The article suggests that a potential agreement between the clubs could be reached shortly, possibly within a couple of weeks.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a successful season with both Sturm Graz and Atalanta last year, contributing a total of 16 goals and seven assists across various competitions.
Initially starting as a substitute at Atalanta following his transfer from Graz, Hojlund began to find his rhythm towards the end of the season.
Now, with a guaranteed role in the forward position, it is expected that he will continue to improve with more experience. The young Dane shares similarities in playing style with Erling Braut Haaland, possessing a left foot, strong physicality, and aerial presence.

Despite his height, he also showcases impressive speed and adept finishing skills inside the penalty area. While Hojlund still has limited experience at the highest level, he is seen as a player with immense potential who could develop into a top striker within a few seasons.
Atalanta are firm on their asking price for the player, putting the responsibility on Man United to reach an agreement.
It is suggested that Red Devils may need to negotiate additional performance-related bonuses to lower the fixed transfer fee.
