Manchester United reject Inter Milan’s approach to sign Victor Lindelof

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have rejected Inter Milan’s request to sign Victor Lindelof this month.

Due to strong performances from players like Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez, the Swedish defender has only made six Premier League appearances this season and has dropped down the Old Trafford hierarchy.

Despite this, Erik ten Hag still appears intent on holding onto the defender, maybe with an eye toward increasing squad depth as the Red Devils continue to compete in four competitions.

On Monday, United will make a decision regarding Anthony Elanga’s future; the Swedish winger is eager to leave. Borussia Dortmund, PSV Eindhoven, and five Premier League clubs are all interested in signing him.

The 20-year-old has performed admirably in the last two seasons, but his opportunities have been few, particularly since Alejandro Garnacho’s recent rise to stardom.

Elanga has been linked with a move away to a foreign club for some time, but United looks hesitant to sell.

United are on track to play the most games possible this season, as they are expected to reach the Carabao Cup final after defeating Sheffield United 3-0 in the first leg of their semi-final round and easily advancing to the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 3-1 victory over Reading on Saturday.
