Manchester United told to cough up £108m for Sancho

Manchester United FC had reportedly agreed on terms with Jadon Sancho over a five-year-long deal over the last two weeks. The electrifying youngster has been linked with the Red Devils and finally, a transfer might be on the cards. But officials at Dortmund have now warned the United officials to cough up £108m to get the services of Sancho.

The “Sancho to United” has gone on for months now, especially as we move towards the business end of the season. The Englishman has reportedly already agreed to wages of £140,000 per week, which could rise to about £200,000 per week. United have been desperate to lure him to Old Trafford, even though there has been a significant turn around in the team performance.

Whereas, Dortmund don’t want to let go of Sancho, and want to keep him for one more season at least. Sancho is one of their main men and has set the Bundesliga on fire scoring and setting up goals for fun. Dortmund have built a formidable team with Sancho and will want to challenge Bayern for the title once again.

With Brandt, Sancho, Halland, and Hazard Dortmund have a real chance to win the Bundesliga next season. Manchester United have also turned a corner, and have been doing very well in all competitions. The Red Devils are on a 16-match unbeaten streak and want to be better season with Sancho on board.

Earlier, United officials had stated that they won’t part with over £50m for Sancho, which seemed to be just a trick. The trick hasn’t quite done its job as the officials at Dortmund are adamant at their valuation. Dortmund officials have reportedly told people at United that they will have to part with £108m to get Jadon Sancho.

The pandemic situation has cause even the likes of Manchester United to revise their transfer plans for a sustainable future. It is very unlike for any club to do deals over £100m, but United will look for ways to generate funds. The most radical way is by selling deadwood and Solskjaer has been reportedly asked to do so.

Only time will tell the United players who face the axe in the summer to fund a Jadon Sancho transfer.
