Paul Pogba is one of Manchester United’s best players, if not the best, and is one of the highest earners in the club. The Frenchman has always been in the limelight, mostly because of the transfer speculations related to him. It is now being reported by ESPN that Manchester United will not splash the cash at renewing Pogba’s contract with the Red Devils.
It was earlier reported that Manchester United had triggered a clause in Pogba’s contract to keep in at Old Trafford till June 2022. Pogba is having a rough time on the pitch after suffering from the coronavirus and is finding it hard to cement his place in the team. The midfielder is working is way back into the team and has shown signs of returning back to his best.
It has been reported that Manchester United will not break their bank or their financial structure to offer Pogba a new contract deal. The club worked hard to remove Alexis Sanchez from its wage bills and will not go back to their old ways. It has also been reported that the club is relaxed about Pogba’s contract situation after triggering his contract extension.
Manchester United need to act smart in Pogba’s situation as he is one of the most valuable players at Old Trafford. The midfielder also needs to concentrate on his career at United rather than flirting with the idea of joining Real Madrid.
