As reported by the club’s official website, Manchester United right-winger Facundo Pellistri joins Spanish side Deportivo Alaves on loan for the entire 2021/22 season. The 19-year-old starlet joined Manchester United in October 2020 from Uruguayan team CD Penarol.
He played at the youth level for Manchester United and was impressive while playing there. He scored three goals and provided one assist for the United 23s side.
Spanish side Deportivo Alaves were interested in his services and, therefore, offered to bring him on loan. Facundo Pellistri was then loaned out by Manchester United in January 2021.
He returned back and resumed his training at the Carrington base. Pellistri played a part in United’s preseason games against QPR, Derby County, and Brentford. He scored a beautiful goal against Derby County.
Earlier, Solksjaer had revealed that United will be looking to loan him out. He also spoke about his qualities after the game against Brentford. He said: “I thought he was bright, of course, he takes his goal really well. I think he shows what he is, he’s a difficult player to play against. One against one he can go past people and I’m very pleased with him.”
Pellistri is still very young and has a lot of potential within him. At his position, he can learn from a host of top-class players like Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.
