Mario Mandzukic Wants Move To Manchester United

The latest reports have claimed that Manchester United are prepared to negotiate a deal with Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic in the January transfer window worth around £11 million.

The Red Devils got off their worst ever start to a Premier League this season as they currently sit in 10th place on the table and the football isn’t as joyful to watch as United fans expected. With poor results and lack of goals in the attacking end of the pitch, United are in for a tough spell at least until the next transfer window in January.

Some questions are to be asked of the United transfer board after they decided to offload star forward Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Serie A club Inter Milan. This has left United with only 21-year-old Marcus Rashford as the sole and senior fit striker at Old Trafford to lead the attack

The red half of Manchester is heavily relying on 17-year-old forward Mason Greenwood to deliver the goods in the positions at the top end of the pitch and the youngster managed to bail them out against Rochdale. Norwegian boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under some scrutiny at the moment with his job because of the lack of attackers and the misfiring players and he has hinted that he will look to sign a striker in the winter transfer window.

United have been linked with a few big-name forwards over the past few months but it seems like there might be a strong chance that Mario Mandzukic could be the player to join the 20-time Premier League champions at the start of next year. The 33-year-old has reportedly claimed that he wants to move to the Premier League to join Manchester United and the English side is pondering over his signature.

Mandzukic was linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window but a move failed to push through and now the striker regrets not moving away from the Allianz Stadium. The Croatian attacker has not gotten along well with new boss Maurizio Sarri at Turin and looks set to make a move away from the Old Lady in the January transfer window with Manchester United on his radar.

Last season, Mandzukic started 29 games for Juventus and contributed for 16 goals scoring nine and assisting a further seven more in the Italian League but has found himself on the bench for the majority of the current season.

The one issue that Manchester United will face with Mandzukic is the fact that he will be 34 years old in May and will not be a long term option at the club.
