According to the Sun, Manchester United have decided on Mason Greenwood’s possible comeback to the club in the upcoming summer.
In early 2023, Greenwood faced charges related to attempted rape and assault. However, the Crown Prosecution Service ultimately discontinued his case.
The decision to discontinue Greenwood’s case came about due to key witnesses withdrawing from the matter.
Earlier in the season, there were widespread reports of Man United preparing for Greenwood’s return. However, faced with significant criticism from staff and media members, the club reversed its decision.
The Red Devils helped the English striker to move to La Liga team Getafe on loan, despite previous links to various European and Saudi Pro League clubs.

The 22-year-old has showcased impressive performance for the Spanish club in the current season, contributing five goals and five assists in 21 appearances across various competitions.
His standout form has now linked him with top-tier clubs, with Barcelona being one of the teams expressing interest as the summer transfer window approaches.

The Blaugrana are keen on acquiring the United academy graduate, and the player is inclined towards making the move.
The next phase involves the two clubs reaching an agreement, as the PL giants are looking to sell the player.
Despite Greenwood’s talent, a return to the club amid a new ownership era is seen as a regressive step. The youngster will be eyeing a future return to playing for his national team.
Currently, his focus is on establishing himself further in La Liga, having made a strong start at Getafe, catching Barcelona’s attention.
