The highly-sought-after Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt has sent everyone into shock by setting his conditions for joining the Red Devils.
It now emerged that the 24-year-old had stated his terms for joining Manchester United infront of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the new partial owners of the club.
“I feel it is important that a club really makes you feel they want to have you on board,” De Ligt recently told in an interview.
“When Bayern Munich came after me, their interest and the way they like to play football really convinced me. I like playing in teams that like to attack, press high, train hard.”
This has come out at a time when transfer rumors have started. Bayern Munich, who confirmed the signing of De Ligt two years ago in what was a big deal, might be willing to sell him if terms are right.
Sources close to the player confirmed that he will leave the German giants for, say Manchester United at this point, as he feels there’s room for further growth with them and he can be really vital at this level.
As such, under the stewardship of manager Erik ten Hag, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been huge with his strategic vision and support for United’s ambitions infantry, leading the discussion on potential transfers.

Methods say that the transfer fee will be significantly lower than Bayern Munich’s initial outlay for the defender, thus potentially making it the bargain deal for a player of De Ligt’s standing.
