My options are open reveals Nemanja Matic when asked about his future

As his time at Manchester United is coming to an end, Nemanja Matic believes he is keeping his options open.

The 33-year-old recently revealed that he would be departing United at the end of the season, opting to finish his United career rather than having his contract extended.

Nemanja Matic has already been linked with a number of clubs during the summer transfer season, having won the Premier League with Chelsea.

It may be time for the Serbian midfielder to start over in one of Europe’s other major leagues, but he insists on completing the season with United first.

As reported by The Manchester Eveningp News, he said: “The options are still open. But what is certain is that this is my last season at United and I want to finish it in the best possible way.”

Over the last year or two, fans have witnessed that Nemanja Matic no longer has the stamina to run our midfield every week. Having said that, we signed him knowing he was past his prime, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s been a reliable player when needed.

In the summer, United must sign a younger replacement for Nemanja Matic as it will help them for many years.

Matic made his final home appearance for United on May 4 in a 3-0 win over Brentford, but he will have to wait nearly two weeks for a final appearance for the club away at Crystal Palace on May 22.
