Rennes sporting director Florian Maurice has hinted that their star midfielder Eduardo Camavinga could leave the club this summer. Manchester United have been linked with a move for the 18-year-old Frenchman.
As reported by Foot Mercato, Florian Maurice said: “I know what he wants. We now have to find a solution that satisfies both parties. When a player’s contract expires, we either renew it and find a solution, or we have to find a solution to an exit.”
Camavinga has been looked upon as the perfect CDM by Ole Gunnar Solksjaer. He could play at United for years to come and his arrival will ease the pressure on Paul Pogba.
The interest have been looking serious and Rennes will let him if leave for the right price. Camavinga is priced at £35m and his contract will expire next season. This means that he will be free to leave for nothing.
PSG are also interested in the young midfielder but currently, they are focused on signing Lionel Messi. Manchester United have the perfect chance to grab him at this price as many other clubs will try to sign him for free next season.
United are currently focused on selling some of their players to collect funds for further transfers. It is looking as if this deal would go to the final day.
