Newcastle United are interested in signing Scott McTominay this summer, and the Scottish midfielder may accept a move as he is worried about his lack of game time.
During Erik ten Hag’s first seven Premier League games, the 26-year-old midfielder started six of them. But Casemiro has displaced him since he was last named in the starting lineup in October.
Now, according to the Daily Telegraph, McTominay is “worried” about not getting enough playing time. Furthermore, Newcastle is interested in the United Academy graduate.
Eddie Howe and his management consider him to be a key signing. Additionally, he is said to be open to moving, and if Newcastle receives approval from the Old Trafford hierarchy to make a transfer offer, they will do so.

It’s unclear whether the Red Devils would sell to a rival team, as both teams are vying for a top-four spot. Following Sunday’s dramatic victory over Fulham, the Magpies are on a roll and are currently third in the Premier League.
Only four senior central midfielders are available to United this season, with McTominay and Casemiro competing against Fred and Christian Eriksen to start.
Meanwhile, Newcastle is attempting to make room in its lineup for a new midfielder by making two stars available.
