According to Fabrizio Romano, while speaking to Caught Offside, Sevilla are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri, but the Red Devils are keen on retaining the player beyond next summer.
The 20-year-old has been integrated into United’s first-team squad in the early months of the 2023-24 season, making appearances in two league matches, including a start in the 1-0 victory against Burnley in late September.
The Tunisian star was loaned to Birmingham City in the Championship last season to gain valuable experience in senior football, where he played 38 times for the second-tier club.
Mejbri has also played 26 matches for his national team and was part of the squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
According to Italian journalist Romano, Sevilla, the reigning Europa League champions, have been keeping an eye on the youngster’s progress for several months and are looking to sign him in 2024.
