Manchester United FC have made their first signing of the summer, with Donny Van de Beek joining the Red Devils from Ajax. United have been lauded for Van de Beek’s signing as they have added quality and depth to their midfield. Former Ajax and Dutch legend, Wesley Sneijder has also approved of Van De Beeks decision to join Manchester United this summer.
In his peak, Wesley Sneijder was one of the best midfielders in the world and played for several bog clubs. He starred at Ajax, Inter Milan and Real Madrid while being closely linked to a move to Old Trafford. The Dutch attacking midfielder’s move to United never materialized though even with reports saying he wanted a move to Manchester United.
In his recent talk with Voetbal International, Sneijder praised Van de Beek and said: “‘Now is the right time, Manchester United is a fantastic club and I think he is a better fit there too. English football suits him better than Spanish football.” He also added that “‘He is a complete player. I really like his running actions. He is someone who makes space, has a lot of depth and always looks for the right moments to go deep.”
Donny Van de Beek is one of the best young midfielders in the world and is expected to be successful at Manchester United.
