Solksjaer was optimistic about United’s transfer plans this summer. United have signed Tom Heaton and Jadon Sancho this summer. A deal for Raphael Varane has also been agreed and he may become the club’s third new signing.
More incomings are expected for Manchester United and they still have one entire month to complete all the deals. It was a big surprise that both Sancho and Varane’s deals were agreed upon within a span of one week. United have been making really quick decisions and it has helped them excel this summer.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Solksjaer was asked about United’s transfer plans vefore United played against Brentford. He said: “There are loan deals already arranged for some of the boys and I would expect more to be agreed in the coming days and weeks, and those are important because we have some really talented lads who need to get out there and play competitive senior football. A number will, of course, remain part of our group here, but this is already a highly competitive squad which is even stronger than last season.”
“I’m absolutely thrilled that we have managed to conclude a deal for Jadon Sancho, who we regard as one of the most exciting young attackers in the game, while it’s also great to have Tom Heaton back home in our goalkeeping department once more.”
“I’m hopeful that there might be a little more business done by us before the summer window closes, while I’m also mindful that a lot of our squad members underwent great development on loan last term, so there’s no question that we go into this season in better shape than last season.”
Solksjaer was thrilled that all his transfer targets have been meeting but still, there are more deals to be looked at. Paul Pogba’s current contract renewal is still hanging in the air.
The player and the club are still locked in discussions. Meanwhile, United has even decided about the loan deals for some of their players. Maybe the new incomings that Solksjaer talked about will be a defensive midfielder and if needed a new right-back as well.
