Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given slight worrying injuring update ahead of Sunday’s crucial Premier League tie against Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp’s side is in great shape as won comfortably against Watford a week back with a thumping 5 goals.
They were again very dominating against Atletico Madrid and made a statement win against the Spanish outfit. Solskjaer’s side will be careful of the threat that Liverpool’s team possesses.
Currently, as things stand, Man United is four points behind second-placed Liverpool and needs a win this weekend to make sure they are well in the title race. A loss will be a major blow for Solskjaer’s men who have already lost two of their past three matches in the Premier League.
Bruno Fernandes was a key player for Man United against Atalanta. Although he didn’t get his name on the scoresheet, he was still able to grab the Man of the Match award for becoming the first Man United player since 2003-04 to produce a record nine chances in a single UCL game.
It will be a big blow if Bruno Fernandes is not available for such an important match. Solskjaer has given an update on the Portuguese playmaker after he picked up some knocks on Thursday.
While speaking to the club’s official website, he said:
“Games like Wednesday will always bring knocks and bruises. We have two or three with knocks but I hope I can pick from a fit squad. Bruno might be a doubt but he’s doing everything he can to be fit.”
It is a less worrying sign and we already know that a player like Bruno Fernandes will not just sit and wait for bruises to eat him. He will certainly work on himself and try to be fit for Sunday.
The Old Trafford stadium should witness his miracles again.
