Manchester United has announced that Paul Pogba will leave the club when his contract expires later this month. The Frenchman will be a free agent after the season and has been linked with a return to Juventus.
Pogba returned to the Premier League six years ago, making 226 appearances since joining for almost €100 million from Juventus. He won two trophies at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman however gave no profits as he will leave for nothing but few memories to cheer. Pogba scored 90 goals in 233 appearances for the club, but he will be leaving under a cloud.
On his official exit, Pogba spoke to the club’s official website, as he said:
“I feel privileged to have played for this club. Many beautiful moments and memories but most importantly unconditional support from the fans. Thank you, Manchester United.”

We don’t think that the fans ever got to witness the World Cup champion at his best, what with his erratic performances and talking with other clubs over the years.
It’s a pity because Paul Pogba started his career at United’s academy when he was 16 years old. He started with the U18s and rapidly progressed to the Reserves, eventually being a member of the FA Youth Cup-winning squad in 2011.
His second time at the club did not have many highlights, but he did win the Europa League and League Cup under Jose Mourinho. The 29-year-old is expected to join Allegri, with whom he spent most of his professional career.
They’ll almost certainly have to prepare to make him their highest-paid player, while we are relieved that Pogba will no longer be on United’s payroll.
