Top Journo claims Fred will 100% leave Manchester United this summer

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Fred will 100% leave Manchester United this summer amid serious interest from top European clubs this summer.

Midfielders Fred and Donny van de Beek are expected to depart soon as the club aims to raise funds for further transfer activities.

Erik ten Hag has already secured signings like Mason Mount, Rasmus Hojlund, and Andre Onana. However, he is now focused on strengthening the midfield and central defence positions.

Sofyan Amrabat has been identified as the top midfield target for the Red Devils, but their initial transfer offer to Fiorentina was turned down. To secure his signature, they may need to increase their offer.

According to Romano, Ten Hag is planning to sell unwanted players like Fred and Van de Beek to fund potential transfer deals.

United are anticipating the Brazilian star’s sale to progress next week, with sources confirming his departure from the club with certainty.

Fred is believed to be favouring a move to Galatasaray this summer, making the Turkish club the front-runner to sign him. United are awaiting an official transfer offer for the Brazilian midfielder.

While the versatile player has been an important player for the club in the past, he has now slipped down the pecking order behind Casemiro, Mount, Eriksen, and Scott McTominay.

With only one year left on his contract, Fred won’t command a significant transfer fee, and Ten Hag is reportedly willing to let him go for around £12.9 million.

As for Van de Beek, injuries have hindered his progress since his arrival from Ajax in 2020. He has managed just 60 appearances, mostly as a substitute, during his time at Manchester United.

A departure from Old Trafford could be the ideal solution for the Dutch star, and Real Sociedad appears to be the leading candidate to sign the Dutch midfielder. United are reportedly in discussions with the Spanish club regarding a permanent transfer.

The imminent departures of both players will provide Ten Hag with the opportunity to bring in more players during this summer transfer window.
