Turkish giants Fenerbahce submit €15m bid for Manchester United star Fred

Turkish giants Fenerbahce have formally presented a €15 million bid to sign Manchester United midfielder Fred, as reported by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The Brazilian star is in the last year of his contract with United, and the club has already determined to offload him during this summer transfer window.

The Red Devils have placed a price tag of €23 million on Fred, but Fenerbahce have presented a formal bid of approximately €15 million, which includes potential add-ons, for the 30-year-old midfielder.

Negotiations are currently in progress, involving both the club and the player. The Super Lig club are keen on securing Fred’s signature promptly.

The decision to part ways with the player was influenced by United’s acquisition of Mason Mount from Chelsea. The process has been somewhat sluggish due to the absence of concrete offers on the table.

While Fenerbahce has made the highest bid so far, United might wait for a better offer before finalizing the deal.

Fulham’s interest in acquiring the former Shakhtar Donetsk player remains strong, potentially setting the stage for a competitive bidding process involving multiple clubs in the upcoming days.

However, Man United aims to avoid prolonging negotiations until the final stages of the transfer window, as they have intentions of pursuing another high-quality midfielder.

Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina has consistently been linked with United. The club is anticipated to take definitive action to secure his services imminently.

Currently, Fiorentina values the 26-year-old midfielder at €30 million. The Red Devils might need to offload more than one midfielder to meet the financial requirements.
