Manchester United are reportedly exploring alternative options in case they fail to secure the signing of Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.
The club is said to have engaged in discussions regarding the potential signing of forwards Rasmus Hojland and Randal Kolo Muani. While Kane prefers a move to United, Spurs owner Daniel Levy is demanding a transfer fee of at least £100 million for the English striker, who has one year left on his contract.
The Red Devils have struggled for goals this season, leading them to prioritize the addition of a striker during the current transfer window.
According to the Manchester Evening News, manager Erik Ten Hag has held several conversations with Rasmus Hojland, who happens to share the same transfer agency as the Dutch manager.
Hojland, who had a remarkable debut season with Atalanta in Serie A, has attracted the attention of United. The 20-year-old forward impressed with nine goals and four assists in 33 appearances for the Italian club.
He also made a significant impact on the international stage, scoring five goals in two games during Euro 2024 qualifying for the Danish national team, including a memorable hat-trick against Finland.
United officials have also engaged in discussions regarding the potential signing of Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani. However, the 24-year-old’s price tag of £68.7 million makes Hojland the more probable choice for the Red Devils.
Kolo Muani gained recognition as one of the breakout stars of the Qatar World Cup, where he scored the third-fastest goal ever scored by a substitute in the tournament, finding the net against Morocco in the semi-final.

This season, Kolo Muani has been in impressive form for Frankfurt, contributing 15 goals and 14 assists in 32 Bundesliga appearances.
