According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United has shown interest in signing Chicago Fire midfielder Brian Gutierrez.
Several other Premier League clubs have also been monitoring the performances of the USA under-20 international. Scottish club Rangers has also expressed interest in Gutierrez.
United has a reputation for scouting and signing promising talents worldwide, and they are on the lookout for the next Alejandro Garnacho.
Gutierrez has been a regular player for Chicago Fire this season, making 15 appearances in Major League Soccer. He has contributed three assists in those games, which has caught the attention of the Red Devils and other interested parties.

However, securing a work permit for Gutierrez, being an American player could present a challenge. Consequently, Borussia Dortmund, Red Bull Leipzig, and Girona are also keeping an eye on the young talent from the United States.
The level of interest in the 19-year-old is increasing and it is expected that more clubs will join in scouting him.
Gutierrez is a versatile player who can operate on both wings, in central midfield, and even as a defensive midfielder. He has attracted the interest of United manager Erik Ten Hag. However, securing his services may prove challenging.
Under post-Brexit rules, foreign players need to accumulate a certain number of Governing Body Endorsement points to obtain a work permit for playing in the Premier League. Unfortunately, Gutierrez has not played enough international games to meet the required points.

Chicago Fire, recognizing his importance to the team, prevented him from representing his nation in the ongoing under-20 World Cup, further hindering his chances of accumulating the necessary work permit points in England.
Despite these obstacles, Gutierrez has received high praise from Fire manager Frank Klopas, who described him as ‘incredible’. United is likely to continue monitoring his progress closely.
