Apart from his contributions in front of goal, the former Real Madrid star’s midfield performance was exceptional. He recorded an impressive 122 touches on the ball and completed 100 successful passes.
Additionally, he displayed his vision with 10 accurate long balls and contributed defensively with three interceptions and two tackles.
Casemiro delivered a dominant performance, showcasing a return to his best form. He’ll be eager to repeat this performance when United faces Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Red Devils were coming off two consecutive wins in various competitions, but the upcoming match at Old Trafford could pose a different challenge, as Palace is likely to field a more robust lineup.
