United stars Van de Beek And Sancho Show Contrasting Start To Life In Germany

Manchester United stars Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho had witnessed a rather different start to life in Germany’s Bundesliga this season.

Both players were released on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

Talking about Sancho, the English man was deemed a high-profile signing when Man United signed him for £73 million three years back.

It was going well for the player until a poor run of form continued for the player.

It is a rather surprising thing to see that a player who was once said to be one of the most promising players in the Bundesliga has started to spend his time on the bench at Old Trafford.

His fall from the top under manager Erik ten Hag was a changing point in his United career.

Sancho was snubbed from the first-team squad due to his failure to apologise to the Dutch boss for a social media outburst.

What followed next was rather unsurprising. The player was barred from playing and was then allowed to leave on loan to a club where he developed himself as one of the best young players three years back.

Man United star Sancho’s performances at Dortmund in a nutshell:

Sancho moved to Dortmund last year and has since played 265 minutes for the Bundesliga side (five appearances).

He has provided two assists in his initial two games, but since then another poor form continued.

The 23-year-old was labelled as the ‘worst player on the pitch’ by German outlet Der Westen in Dortmund’s recent league match against Hoffenheim.

The player failed to have a single shot on target in that match and was eventually substituted after 75 minutes.

To make matters worse, the opponent snatched a famous win in the end. It remains to be seen whether the youngster will be able to turn the tables against Union Berlin next week.

Van de Beek’s underwhelming start at Frankfurt continues to affect his future

Meanwhile, Van de Beek has had a more miserable start to life in Frankfurt. He missed the cub’s last three fixtures before being handed an opportunity to play against Wolfsburg.

He was given to task of controlling the midfield along with initiating attacking moves.

Despite this, the entire team looked off in the first period and the tired legs of Frankfurt players didn’t help them create many chances.

Eventually, the 26-year-old was subbed off in the second half and his side started to organise well soon after his substitution.

Certainly, there’s no denying that he is in the process of regaining full fitness after a lengthy period on the sidelines at Old Trafford.

However, as the season progresses, it becomes important for Van de Beek to make a meaningful contribution to increase his chances of securing a permanent transfer away from Man United in the upcoming summer.
