Manchester United signed their first player this summer, as Donny Van de Beek moved from Ajax to Old Trafford for about £35m. The Dutch youngster is one of the best upcoming midfielders in the world having excelled at Ajax. Last night, as Van de Beek played for the Netherlands at the Amsterdam Arena, Ajax fans gave him a heartwarming farewell, which he will not forget anytime soon.
The Dutch international had a rather dull game as the Netherlands lost to Italy with a scoreline of 1-0. Van de Beek started the game but was taken off at about the hour mark, as the Dutch could barely get the ball to him. But that didn’t stop the Ajax faithful to give a memorable farewell to their young prodigy after the game, outside the stadium.
As Van de Beek was moving out of the stadium, Ajax fans gathered together to celebrate his success at Ajax. Van de Beek was one of the most loved players at Ajax and their fans made sure that he would get a proper farewell as they chanted his name before his departure to Old Trafford.

Van de Beek is expected to be a good signing for Manchester United. Solskjaer would love it if the Dutch international produces the same kind of numbers for United as he did for Ajax.
