Currently, there is a lot of competition for the goalie position at Manchester United as they have also called Dean Henderson back from his loan spell at Sheffield United and have slowly been integrating him into the first team.

De Gea has also had some great games since Dean Henderson has been recalled and the competition for the top spot is becoming fierce.
Sergio Romero who was lowered down in the pecking order due to this stiff competition will also be leaving the club in the summer after relations turned sour last time around when he tried to force his way out of the club due to a lack of game time and first-team opportunities.
