English giants Manchester United are not concerned by the interest of their rival, Manchester City, in the young talent Kobbie Mainoo.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Man City’s attraction to the midfielder is not a recent development, as they have made previous attempts to sign him.
Nevertheless, despite the interest from their city rivals, the 18-year-old has consistently chosen to align himself with the Red Devils.
During the pre-season tour in the USA, the youngster impressed both United fans and manager Erik ten Hag.
However, he hasn’t had the chance to play for the first team this season because of an ankle injury he suffered in a pre-season friendly against Real Madrid in Houston.

Despite this setback, the defensive midfielder has been selected as part of the club squad that has travelled to London for their upcoming Premier League match against Fulham.
In addition, it’s worth noting that Casemiro is set to be sidelined for “several weeks” due to a hamstring injury.
With the absence of the injured player, Sofyan Amrabat is expected to assume the defensive midfielder position for the Red Devils.
However, the Morocco international has yet to make a significant impact with the fans since his transfer to Old Trafford this summer.
This situation presents an excellent opportunity for Mainoo to show his true abilities. Manager Ten Hag should consider giving the teenager a series of matches to showcase his potential.
