Arsenal have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Columbus Crew goalkeeper Patrick Schulte.
The Gunners shot-stopper Aaron Ramsdale is facing an uncertain future since the arrival of David Raya. The Spaniard has emerged as the first choice in Mikel Arteta’s plans this season.
Ramsdale signed a new deal last season as he wanted to stay at Emirates but the situation might soon change. Although there are several goalkeeper targets, Schulte has been a hot target for two English clubs.
The 24-year-old Patrick Schulte won two international caps for the United States in January. He is set to be out of contract in 2024 and Man United are keeping a close eye on his development.

Turkish star Altay Bayindir has been linked with a move away from the club. He has made only one appearance for the Red Devils and has been rarely utilised by Erik ten Hag.
Andre Onana is an automatic starter and it is said that Bayindir is unhappy with his current situation at Old Trafford.
Galatasaray are interested in a move for the shot-stopper this summer.
Hence it seems logical for United to be looking for a new second-choice keeper to provide competition to Onana.
Patrick Schulte was a reason for Columbus Crew’s success in the American league as his side won the MLS Cup.
Other top Premier League clubs will also join the race if the player continues to draw admirers in the American league. Man United are known to sign quality keepers in the past.
They nurtured David de Gea into a club legend and also signed an underrated baller Sergio Romero.
We believe that the Columbus Crew star is a talented player and if the club wants to find a replacement for Bayindir, then they should be quick to pounce on a deal.

Arsenal are in a better position to attract top players. They can lure the player at this moment and that could make things difficult for the Red side of Manchester.
It remains to be seen who emerges victorious in the race to sign the Schulte in the upcoming months.
