Inter Milan’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio, has issued a warning to Manchester United, stating that they will need to raise their offer if they wish to secure the services of Andre Onana.
United recently made an initial bid of £39 million for the player, but Inter Milan have placed a higher valuation on Onana, valuing him at £50m.
Ausilio’s remarks highlight the gap between the two clubs’ respective evaluations and suggest that United will need to increase their offer in order to reach an agreement.
Despite Man United’s hopes of signing Onana, Inter Milan’s sporting director, Ausilio, has stated that the Italian club have no intention of letting the goalkeeper go unless they receive the right offer.

It is believed that Inter Milan’s asking price for the 27-year-old Onana falls well short of United’s intended offer. As stated by the Mirror, the director said:
“Right now Onana is Inter’s goalkeeper. He’s one of the strengths of the team and with strong players, we’d like to move forward. If opportunities arise, we’ll evaluate them, but to date, they haven’t arrived or they don’t meet our expectations.”
United are in search of a new goalkeeper after David De Gea’s contract expired. While negotiations for a new deal are ongoing, United manager Erik ten Hag is keen on having a new goalkeeper in his squad.
De Gea struggled with some notable errors last season and has been uncomfortable when playing with the ball at his feet.

In contrast, Onana excels in ball distribution and operates as a sweeper-keeper, aiding his team in playing from the back. The 27-year-old joined Inter Milan last year from Ajax, where he previously worked closely with ten Hag, who now manages United.
Onana also has international experience, having represented Cameroon in 34 matches before his international career ended abruptly during the last World Cup. He was sent home by the manager due to disciplinary reasons.
Meanwhile, Ausilio expects Onana to remain a part of Inter Milan’s squad as the team prepares for pre-season next week.
Milan had a successful season, finishing as runners-up in the Champions League behind Manchester City and securing a third-place spot in Serie A, with Napoli claiming the title and Lazio finishing second.
