Manchester United has been busy this week. After the deal for Jadon Sancho was completed, they quickly signed Tom Heaton and have also provided two contract extensions.
Juan Mata has also signed a new one-year contract extension and now Lee Grant has followed in his footsteps. The goalkeeper joined Man United from Stoke City way back in 2018 on a two-year deal. He then extended his stay till the end of last season. He has now further increased his stay at Old Trafford.
As confirmed by the club’s official website, Lee Grant seems to be very happy with his decision and he also said that he will continue to help the team and provide competition.
Manchester United signed Tom Heaton as well. He comes in as a replacement for Sergio Romero who has been released by the club. Their goalkeeping options are pretty good and now they will hope to add more depth and power in their defense.
Goalkeeping depth has never been a worry for Manchester United. They will be hoping to find their No.1 choice between David De Gea and Dean Henderson and stick to it.
Manchester United’s next aim will be to extend Bruno Fernandes’s contract and tie him to the club for a long time.
Solksjaer knows that right now his contract extension is a top priority as they want to keep their star player with them for years to come. However, the future of Paul Pogba is currently hanging in the air and they will hope to offer a new contract to him as well.
With the completion of the Jadon Sancho deal, more defensive reinforcements are expected to follow.
Keep yourself, updated folks!
