According to the Telegraph, Manchester United have identified four positions that they need to strengthen in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Red Devils recently announced the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe as the British Billionaire acquired 27.7% stake at the club.
He will be making all the sporting decisions alongside a new director that his management is targeting. Newcastle United’s Dan Ashworth has been looked upon in the past few weeks.
Hence, the INEOS chief will be making sure that his club navigates through a successful summer window with quality signings to fill the voids.

It won’t be a money throwing game since the Old Trafford outfit have to keep an eye on Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules.
It is expected that the club might be first aiming for three signings and then moving on to the fourth depending on the player sales.
Which positions will Ratcliffe strengthen in the upcoming window?
United are feeling the heat of not scoring enough goals in the absence of Rasmus Hojlund.
The Norwegian striker has scored in five successive games and is slowly proving to be a successful signing under Ten Hag.
However the club is not prepared in case the player gets injury. They had to play Marcus Rashford upfront against Fulham, which is not his natural position.

Anthony Martial’s injury woes is a huge sign of concern and it’s likely that he will be sold this summer. Therefore, a backup striker is the need of the hour.
The club also needs a right-back and a new centre-back. Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be serving the last year of his contract.
However, his injury has made Diogo Dalot play as a versatile fullback and cover for both spots whenever needed.
Hence, a new RB will make it easy for the manager to assemble his defense. We believe Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong is the best option in this position.
Talking about centre-backs, Raphael Varane has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and Jonny Evans has been signed for temporary cover. Harry Maguire’s contract will also end in 2025.
The club might be looking for a young CB like OGC Nice’s Jean Claire Todibo, a club which is also owned by Ratcliffe.

Last but not the least, Man United will be keeping an eye on the midfield department in case Casemiro decides to leave the club at the end of the season.
An experienced midfielder to partner with Kobbie Mainoo could be an icing on the cake.
There are several names out there but the Reds need to look out for the ones that suit the manager’s style of play.
It remains to be seen how many of these positions the club strengthens in the upcoming transfer window.
