Arsenal Legend Martin Keown was full of praise for Marcus Rashford in his fight to end food poverty. In an interview with talksports he said, “He’s got two very strong-minded brothers around him – Dwayne and Dan – and I think they played a major part in this as well in putting him on the right path.”
Keown also praised his mother Melanie who has played an important part in his life and has hailed the youngster from Manchester united for great things on and off the field.
Rashford has had a positive impact on England and single-handedly forced the government into a U-Turn on its policy on free meals in schools during the first lockdown. He has valiantly fought for just causes and proven to be a true gentleman.
He even took to Twitter recently to bash the food package that was being sent to people’s houses due to it not being sufficient for most families. He was even honoured with the Football Writers Association 2021 Tribute Award to commemorate his outstanding philanthropic contributions.
Even after doing so much work, Marcus Rashford is not one to rest upon his laurels and continuously strives to make a difference in the lives of people who are not as privileged as himself. Rashford has time and again insisted that this is only the start and there is a long way to go.
Rashford himself has gone through a lot of trouble as he was raised by a single mom and his siblings and he too depended on the free meals that were provided by the schools which is why he has been fighting for it actively.
