Manchester United FC and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are reportedly in the lookout of a striker, a right-winger and a central defender this summer. Although the club has managed to sign only one player till now, United have been linked with several others. It is now being reported by The Mail that the Red Devils have been put on alert with the possible departure of Antoine Greizmann from Barcelona.
With reports suggesting Messi wants to leave Catalunya this summer, the Argentine has come out and stated that he will be staying. Messi’s stay at Barcelona will mean that the club is now trying to sell Griezmann this summer to generate funds. The Red Devils have been previously linked with the Frenchman but a move to Old Trafford has never materialized.
Griezmann joined Barcelona only a year ago and has failed to stamp his authority in the team. Most of the times, he has been played out of his original position, which has seen him score just nine goals in La Liga. It is highly unlikely for United to sign Griezmann, mainly because of the price tag attached to him and his age.
Manchester United have prioritized a move for Sancho this summer and will be favourites to sign him, which nullifies Griezmann’s chances of joining the Red Devils.
