Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been reportedly keen on signing a centre-back this summer transfer window after their first signing. The Red Devils have been linked to a couple of defenders this window, especially with Dayot Upamecano. But it is now being reported by FCInterNews that United have enquired about Skriniar and will move for him if Upamecano stays at RB Leipzig.
Dayot Upamecano has been linked with Manchester United lately after it was reported that Solskjaer likes him earlier this week. But it is highly unlikely for Upamecano to leave Leipzig especially after signing a contract extension this summer. But according to recent reports, United are lining up Milan Skriniar if they don’t get Upamecano this transfer window.
Milan Skriniar has been previously linked to United earlier but he has been lately linked to a move to Tottenham. According to outlets in Italy, Skriniar is not keen on signing for Mourinho and Tottenham but doesn’t want to stay at Inter Milan, because of game-time. It has also been reported that United have enquired for Skriniar and are closely looking at his situation at the Milan club.
It is unlikely for Upamecano and Skriniar to join Manchester United this summer, mostly because of the price tags linked to the players.
