Fiorentina’s midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is reportedly interested in staying in Serie A for the upcoming season, as per Sport Mediaset.
Despite previous rumours connecting him with a move to Manchester United, the club has made no official offer.
Juventus’ sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, is now looking to secure Amrabat’s signature, having failed to acquire Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Franck Kessie.
Erik ten Hag has reportedly identified the 26-year-old as a key target. However, Sport Mediaset’s report suggests that Amrabat is open to remaining in the Italian top flight.
Fiorentina have set a price of €25 million plus potential add-ons for their midfielder. Juventus are currently relying on player sales to fund the acquisition of this holding midfielder.

Meanwhile, Man United have been active in the current transfer window, spending approximately €188 million on signings like Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund.
Erik ten Hag may be keen on additional signings before the transfer deadline, depending on selling players. With Harry Maguire’s potential departure, the club is considering investing in a new centre-back, with Benjamin Pavard being the manager’s preferred choice.
From our standpoint, it’s conceivable that United might increase their interest in Amrabat once they offload a couple of midfielders.
There’s speculation that Fred could depart from the Red Devils this week, and there are chances for Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay to follow suit in the near future.
Once the necessary funds are recouped, United could formally submit an offer for Amrabat. It’s been reported that the African star has agreed to personal terms for a five-year contract.
Although Juventus also holds an interest in Amrabat, we believe that he should consider a move to Old Trafford. This presents him with the chance to reunite with his former Utrecht head coach, Ten Hag.
The coach had facilitated the Serie A star’s senior club debut during their shared time at the Dutch club, and reports suggest a strong bond between the Moroccan player and the 53-year-old coach.

Another advantage for United over Juventus is their participation in the Champions League. In contrast, the Bianconeri won’t be competing in any European tournaments this season.
