‘Records are meant to be broken,’ even so there are some which transpire once and engrave your name with them ever after. For instance, Fred scored his first goal for Manchester United and became the clubs 500th goal scorer.
In the illustrious history of United, the Brazilian midfielder scored the 500th goal for United in their last match against Wolves which had a rather bitter result, 1-1 draw.
The player showed his value for money after an elegant right foot strike from edge of the box. A deft touch from Paul Pogba to Fred was enough for the Brazilian to smash the ball through Wolves’ defence into the net. Rui Patricio could barely reach the corner of net.

The message that Fred sent, was loud and clear. He is not here to sit in the bench amongst other player rather he wants to be out there proving his worth for £52 million.
Milestone. The 500th different player to score a goal for United. The 499th player was also to be named this season in the first game against Leicester City, Luke Shaw.
